Accommodations
In the upscale Polanco neighborhood of CDMX, a stylish, vibrant area known for its art galleries, luxury shopping, and high-end dining, the Wild Oscar is a charming boutique hotel with 31 rooms, each featuring inspired design with a creative, eclectic edge, king beds with Egyptian cotton linens, spa-like bathrooms, and locally crafted, organic toiletries. Visit hotel website.
Hotel Bo is a chic and intimate retreat in the heart of San Cristóbal, near Palenque on the Mayan trail. Bo’s eclectic design blends campy charm with sleek Danish modernism –hexagonal-tiled floors, teak sofas and geometric patterned tables – in a playful, yet sophisticated aesthetic. Picture romantic evenings in rooms adorned with hand-woven textiles, vibrant striped coverlets, and soft wool rugs, all crafted by the region's master artisans, and after days exploring, unwind in the vibrant lounge with a signature craft cocktail, or savor intimate moments in the lush gardens. Visit hotel website.
Built in a 19th-century mansion in the historic heart of Merida, Hotel Cigno has one foot in the past and the other in the present. The hotel pays homage to Yucatan heritage, with elements handcrafted by local artisans, traditional pasta floors, and wall coverings made with ancestral local construction techniques. A common thread that weaves throughout the hotel design – from the 10 bright, airy rooms and suites to the lush courtyard and upper terrace pool – is a design schema and color palette that evokes thoughts of Mexican cenotes. Visit hotel website.
Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, Mi Amor Tulum is an open-concept, art deco, Acapulco heyday-inspired haven. There are 20 rooms and suites with clean, fresh design, nestled amidst lush gardens. Daily brunches by the sea, a central infinity pool surrounded by hammock chairs, and along the water’s edge, private cabanas – Mi Amor Tulum awakens the senses. Visit hotel website.
