    • Day 1: San José del Cabo to La Paz - Arrival

      Touch down in San José del Cabo, then you're off to La Paz, a tranquil coastal city on the Baja California Sur peninsula. Check into Hotel Indigo, and set out to discover La Paz's blend of laid-back charm and vibrant culture, with a stroll along the lively waterfront malecón.

    • Day 2: La Paz - Snorkeling with sea lions, sea turtles & dolphins at Isla Espiritu Santo

      Your day today will be spent discovering the colorful marine world of the Sea of Cortez. Picture this: you're gliding through the water on a lancha bound for beautiful Isla Espiritu Santo, surrounded by playful sea lions and curious dolphins. Beneath the waves, coral reefs and a variety of tropical fish await, so don some fins, a snorkel, and dive in!

    • Day 3: La Paz - Sun, sand & surf at Balandra Beach

    • Day 4: La Paz to Loreto - Loreto: one of Mexico's "Pueblos Magicos"

      Today, ride north to Loreto, a historic town known for its architecture, including the 17th-century Mission of Our Lady of Loreto. Surrounded by the stunning Sierra de la Giganta mountains and the Sea of Cortez, Loreto is an ideal home base for adventure seekers looking for a Baja experience off the beaten path.

    • Day 5: Loreto - Dramatic rock formations, crystal-clear pools & scenic desert vistas in Tabor Canyon

      Experience the wild side of Baja with a guided trek into Tabor Canyon. Your naturalist guide will lead you along a scenic trail, that winds along towering granite walls and through lush desert vegetation. Stop for photo ops of panoramic views of the Sierra de la Giganta mountains, then beat the desert heat with a dip into a natural freshwater pool.

    • Day 6: Loreto - Cruise to Coronado Island, a nature lover's paradise

      Set sail to Coronado Island today, to explore pristine white sand beaches, hike cacti-dotted trails, and snorkel in calm bays teeming with colorful marine life.

    • Day 7: Loreto to Todos Santos - From the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean

      After breakfast, ride east to Todos Santos, your second visit to one of Mexico's pueblos magicos on this trip. Check into your home base for the next few days - Hotel San Cristóbal, a tranquil, yet funky retreat, where the soundtrack is waves crashing on shore.

This evening, take a sensory journey through the rich flavors of Mexico's most iconic spirits - tequila and mezcal.     • Day 9: Todos Santos - Rest & relaxation by the sea, then a beachfront dinner by candlelight

      Today is yours to do whatever you wish! Perhaps you'll begin with a slow morning, sipping coffee while you watch the waves, then wander the cobblestone streets on your way to pay a visit to the iconic Hotel California. Spend your afternoon seaside, with your toes in the sand, then watch a stunning Pacific sunset, while you sip artisan mezcal on your balcony.

    • Day 10: Todos Santos to San José del Cabo - Departure

      Enjoy breakfast at Hotel San Cristóbal, then ride to to the San José del Cabo airport for your onward travels. Adios!

    Know Before You Go

    • Itinerary prices are dependent on season of departure. Christmas, New Years and Easter (Semana Santa) are peak season, and prices during these periods are significantlky higher than other times of year. High season runs from November through April, and green season from May through September.
    • Arrival: hotel check-in times are at 3:00pm, but you may arrive at any time during the day. If you arrive prior to the scheduled check-in time, we will arrange for early check-in wherever possible.
    • Departure: hotel check-out times are at 9:00am. International flights on your departure day should be arranged to depart after 1:30pm.
    • All prices in USD.
    • For vaccination recommendations, please visit the CDC website.
    • For American, Canadian, and British citizens, a valid passport with 6+ months remaining is required for entry to Mexico.
    • Debit cards may not work in Central America, but most establishments accept major credit cards.
    • Please ensure you have immediate access to a minimum of USD $250 as an emergency fund to be used if circumstances outside our control (e.g. a natural disaster) require changes to your planned route.
    • It is customary to tip service providers (waiters) around 10-20% depending on service. Tipping taxi drivers is not required unless they assist with your luggage, in which case 10 pesos per suitcase is a rule of thumb.
    • Gratuities for guides and drivers are deeply appreciated, and provide an important supplement to their income. If you are pleased with the tour services you've received, a guideline for tipping in Central America is USD $8-10 per person per day for multiple-day tours, or USD $5-10 per person for day tours.

    Getting There

    From North America: several airlines offer direct and connecting flights to Mexico's several international airports. For most of our itineraries, travelers most frequently fly into or out of: Cancún International Airport (airport code: CUN), Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH), Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), Mexico City's Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (MEX) and Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta. Including connection time, flights from the USA typically range from 2-9 hours in duration, while most flights from Canada range from 5-15 hours in duration.

    From the UK: British Airways flies direct to Mexico City and Cancún, but there are also several flight options connecting in the United States and/or Canada. Including connection time, flights from the UK typically range from 11-18 hours in duration.
