Surprise Engagement: Arenal Hanging Bridges – Nick + Kait

Surprise Engagement: Arenal Hanging Bridges – Nick + Kait

Posted by Adrienne Spragg on

Nick contacted ROAM in May 2019, looking to plan an epic proposal for Kait, his girlfriend of three years. Their love story began when the couple met in Tampa, Florida while both Nick and Kait were in between moves. Serendipitously, they discovered that they were moving to the same general area – Nick to DC, and Kait to NYC. They began to date, and the rest is history!

For his surprise proposal, Nick chose to take Kait on an exciting full-day excursion in Costa Rica, complete with a visit to Mistico Hanging Bridges reserve in Arenal, and ending with a relaxing afternoon and romantic private dinner at Tabacón Hot Springs, a beautiful hot springs resort nestled at the base of the volcano.

We collaborated with husband and wife photography team Andres and Lindsay Sanchez of Arenas Foto to capture the moment at the hanging bridges, and Marco of Tico Tours Guanacaste who acted as Nick & Kait’s guide and driver for the day. We’d like to give a big thank you to Andres, Lindsay, Marco, and the folks at Mistico Hanging Bridges and Tabacón for helping us to ensure that this proposal went off without a hitch!
