    • Day 1: Belize City to Punta Gorda - Arrival

      After you touch down, take another quick domestic flight south to Punta Gorda, the southernmost stop in Belize. When you land, a guide will be waiting to pick you up in an open-air Land Cruiser, and in only 15 minutes, you’ll be pulling up to breathtaking Copal Tree Lodge.

    • Day 2: Punta Gorda - Mayan ruins & hidden waterfalls

      Today, discover the Mayan site of Lubaantun. Walk in the footsteps of the ancients, explore the city’s unusual rounded-edge black slate rock architecture, and learn about the civilization that once existed here. Next, head to the modern-day Maya village of Blue Creek for lunch with a local family, and try your hand at making corn tortillas before you discover Hokeb Ha Cave – a mystical place leading into the underworld, where the Maya believed the Rain God resided.

    • Day 3: Cayo Espanto - Cacao plantations & rum tasting

      Today is a day to indulge! Visit a cacao nursery and taste the flesh of a cacao fruit, then roll up your sleeves and learn how to temper and mould your own chocolate bars. In the afternoon, visit Belize’s Copalli Rum distillery to discover rum from sugarcane farm to flask, ending with a tasting of delicious rum.

    • Day 4: Punta Gorda to Cayo Espanto - Reset & recharge in postcard-perfect paradise

      Today, make your way from Punta Gorda to Ambergris Caye via air, then board a boat bound for the blissful private tropical island of Cayo Espanto. The rest of the day is an opportunity to hit the rest button. Gear down into vacation mode, take a step back, and a deep breath in, and let go. Spend the day enjoying the beautiful seas surrounding Cayo Espanto. Relax in the privacy of your villa, lounge poolside and catch some rays, or swing in a hammock beneath gently rustling coconut palms as you revel in spectacular ocean views - ranging in color from vibrant turquoise to sea glass green to deep cobalt and royal blues.

    • Day 5: Cayo Espanto - Romantic beach picnic for two on a secluded beach

      Lunch today will be unforgettable. Take a ten-minute boat ride to a deserted beach where you’ll arrive to a romantic picnic for two, set to the soothing soundtrack of gentle tropical breezes and crashing surf, with not another soul in sight. Dine on a delicious gourmet spread and sip sparkling wine as you unplug from the outside world and reconnect with one another. Stay as long as you like, – you can arrange a pre-determined pickup time, or call to arrange a pickup whenever you’re ready to make your way back to Cayo Espanto.

    • Day 6: Cayo Espanto - Kayak & paddle board pristine seas

      Today is yours to explore as you wish. Raid Cayo Espanto's stash of kayaks and paddle boards and set out into the ocean for an intrepid exploration of your own.

    • Day 7: Cayo Espanto - Ultra-luxe spa treatments & a private sunset yacht cruise

      Enjoy your final day in paradise with the ultimate in R&R – a combination of carefully selected spa experiences in the privacy of your villa. Begin with a gentle coconut ginger glow exfoliating treatment that smells as delicious as it sounds! A sugar body polish will give life to dull, dry skin, followed by a warm coconut milk bath that will leave your skin glowing. Next, let your stress melt away with a Swedish massage, followed by a deliciously indulgent tropical facial – made with purifying papaya and pineapple extracts. Finally, show your feet a little love with a softening soak, gentle sugar scrub, hydrating foot massage, and full nail care, as you sip a glass of wine and nosh on a selection of cheese and fresh, tropical fruit. This afternoon, set sail on Cayo Espanto’s yacht for a private sunset sail for two. Cruise the open ocean, and enjoy a chilled glass of champagne as you revel in one last sweet Caribbean sunset.     Know Before You Go

    • Itinerary prices are dependent on season of departure. Christmas, New Years and Easter (Semana Santa) are peak season, and prices during these periods are significantlky higher than other times of year. High season runs from November through April, and green season from May through September.

    • Arrival: hotel check-in times are at 3:00pm, but you may arrive at any time during the day. If you arrive prior to the scheduled check-in time, we will arrange for early check-in wherever possible.

    • Departure: hotel check-out times are at 9:00am. International flights on your departure day should be arranged to depart after 1:30pm.

    • All prices in USD.

    • For vaccination recommendations, please visit the CDC website.

    • For American, Canadian, and British citizens, a valid passport with 6+ months remaining is required for entry to Belize.

    • Debit cards may not work in Central America, but most establishments accept major credit cards.

    • Please ensure you have immediate access to a minimum of USD $250 as an emergency fund to be used if circumstances outside our control (e.g. a natural disaster) require changes to your planned route.

    • If departing Belize by air, most major airlines include exit taxes in the price of your airfare.

    • It is customary to tip service providers (waiters) around 10% depending on service. Tipping taxi drivers is not required.

    • Gratuities for guides and drivers are deeply appreciated, and provide an important supplement to their income. If you are pleased with the tour services you've received, a guideline for tipping in Central America is USD $8-10 per person per day for multiple-day tours, or USD $5-10 per person for day tours.

    Getting There

    From North America: several airlines offer direct and connecting flights to Belize’s international airport: Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City (airport code: BZE). Including connection time, flights from the USA typically range from 2.5-9 hours in duration, while most flights from Canada range from 9-15 hours in duration.

    From the UK: there are currently no direct flights to Belize from the UK, but there are several flight options connecting in the United States and/or Canada. Including connection time, flights from the UK typically range from 12-18 hours in duration.
