Day 1: San José - Arrival

Day 3: Arenal - Rio Celeste hike
Hike through dense forest in Tenorio Volcano National Park to Rio Celeste, a river colored brilliant turquoise by volcanic minerals in the water. Spot monkeys and toucans as you wind your way to the Celeste Waterfall – still one of the best-kept secrets in Costa Rica. Bring your camera!

Day 4: Arenal - Zip lines & natural hot springs
Start your day with a bird’s eye view and an adrenaline rush on a zip line adventure through the forest canopy. This afternoon, head to Tabacón Hot Springs for dinner and an evening soak. Explore dozens of warm pools of varying sizes, temperatures and degrees of privacy, and let the sounds of cascading waterfalls lull you into deep relaxation.

Day 5: Arenal to Mal País - Trade jungle for beach
Head southwest for the quiet beachside town of Santa Teresa, arguably one of the most romantic locations in Costa Rica. Check in to your luxurious villa at Casa Chameleon, and spend the afternoon on the terrace or in your private plunge pool, soaking in the jaw-dropping ocean views with a cold cocktail in hand.

Day 6: Mal País - Wild waterfalls & hidden beaches by ATV
Strap in for a day free to explore one of the most rugged and remote coastlines in Costa Rica. Cruise east to discover jungle waterfalls and the vibrant little hippie town of Montezuma, then spend the rest of your afternoon laid out on the powdery white sand of Playa Suecos or Secret Beach.

Day 7: Mal País - Stand-up paddle boarding in Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve
It’s time to try stand-up paddle boarding! Spend the afternoon paddling along the coastline of breathtaking Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, returning to shore just as the sun melts into the horizon.

Days 8 & 9: Mal País - Beach time & panoramic ocean views from your private plunge pool
Spend the rest of your time in Santa Teresa how you wish, whether at the beach, hiking rainforested trails, or beside your private plunge pool. For your last dinner in Costa Rica, dine on fresh local seafood at a private ocean-view table beneath the stars.
