Day 1: Mountain Pine Ridge - Arrival
Welcome to Belize! Meet your driver and head west along limestone roads to the heart of the Mayan jungle in inland Belize. Check into the deliciously luxurious Blancaneaux Lodge, owned by American film director Francis Ford Coppola, and spend the afternoon lounging beside your private plunge pool.

Day 2: Mountain Pine Ridge - Mayan plazas & pyramids at Caracol
Discover the history of the Maya today with a visit to the largest Maya site in Belize: Caracol. Wander expansive plazas, in the footsteps of ancient kings, and climb the massive Caana (Sky Palace) pyramid, which stretches 135 feet high, for breathtaking views over the forest-clad mountains before heading on to explore the Rio Frio ceremonial caves.

Day 3: Mountain Pine Ridge - Waterfalls on horseback & a gourmet picnic
Today, ride along jungle trails on horseback to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in all of Belize – the rushing Big Rock Falls. As you ride, admire the abundant orchids adorning granite rock outcroppings and watch for exotic animals hidden in the forest canopy. When you arrive to the falls, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch while you sip champagne in the sunshine, then dive into the creek for a refreshing chance to beat the jungle heat.

Day 4: Mountain Pine Ridge - Day at leisure; dine by candlelight
Spend your day making the most of Blancaneaux Lodge's amenities. Stretch out alongside your plunge pool, hike the extensive network of forest trails, or pamper yourself with an in-room couples' massage. Head to a remote riverside location this evening for a private dining experience for two.
-
Day 5: Mountain Pine Ridge to Placencia - Cave tubing & lazy jungle rivers
This morning, trek subtropical trails until you reach a lagoon surrounded by steep limestone walls. Climb into an inner tube and let the river's current carry you into two large chambers – impressive sanctuaries used by the Maya for sacrificial rituals. Plunge into darkness and listen to the sounds of the cascading waterfalls and churning rapids. Once you exit the cave, float along the river for a ways before you head east for the powdery white sand beaches of Placencia.
-
Day 6: Placencia - Snorkeling at Silk Caye
After breakfast, you’re off to one of Belize’s best kept secrets, the blissful Silk Caye, a picturesque little island surrounded by miles of turquoise water. Spend your day swimming and snorkeling alongside vibrantly-colored tropical fish, curious sharks, and mingling with spotted eagle and stingrays gliding through perfect, clear water. You may even rub elbows with a turtle or two!

Day 7: Placencia - Relax & recharge
This perfect stretch of sand is the perfect spot to relax – beautiful powdery beaches studded by palm trees, and calm, turquoise waters that reach as far as the eye can see. Still, if you’re craving a dose of civilization and a bit of colorful Caribbean flair, go in to town to sample the local fare and savor an ice-cold beer or a tropical cocktail at a laid-back waterfront restaurant.
-
Day 8: Placencia - Dine on the beach by candlelight
On your last day in Placencia, gear down into ultimate vacation mode and spend the day lounging at your private pool, or if you’re feeling adventurous, walk down the beach or into town.
