    • Day 1: San José - Arrival

After you arrive to San José’s Juan Santamaría International Airport, you’ll be met by your driver and whisked away to an oasis in the heart of the city – the charming, luxurious Grano de Oro Hotel. Take to the city on foot and discover historic architecture, tree-lined boulevards and the delightfully chaotic street-life of Costa Rica’s capital, or catch up on some well-deserved rest to prepare you for an action-packed day tomorrow.

    • Day 2: San José to Bajos del Toro - Raft the wild whitewaters of the Pacuare River

Your jungle adventure begins today as you wind through Braulio Carrillo National Park to one of Costa Rica’s wildest jungles – the river gorge surrounding the Pacuare River. Leave your luggage on the bus for safekeeping and climb into a raft for an exhilarating white water rafting adventure through one of the most scenic, untouched rivers in all of Central America. Afterwards, board the shuttle to take you up into the cloud-forested mountains of Bajos del Toro, where you’ll check into your decadent home base for the next two nights. When you arrive, check in to your stunning, luxurious suite and enjoy a relaxing evening soaking in your private outdoor jetted tub as the sun sets over the valley.

    • Day 3: Bajos del Toro - Hike rainforest trails to hidden waterfalls; dine by candlelight in the cloud forest

Wake up early this morning and set out on a trail hike to discover the mysterious swirling mists that cloak the Bajos del Toro valley. When you return, gear down into vacation mode, relaxing with a good book on your private deck or soaking in your outdoor jacuzzi, as you enjoy panoramic valley views. In the afternoon, once some of the fog has burned off, head to del Toro reserve for a challenging – yet rewarding – hike through the forest to the base of a roaring 400-foot waterfall that plunges down a multicolored canyon into an extinct volcano’s crater.

    • Day 4: Bajos del Toro to Arenal - Unparalleled volcano views

Today you’re off to Costa Rica’s adventure capital, La Fortuna, in the shadow of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Check into stunning Nayara Resort, and once you’re settled in, head to the Nayara Spa for an afternoon spent in pure tranquility and relaxation. Experience the sights, sounds and scents of the rainforest with a couples’ treatment in a private outdoor spa bungalow that will leave your body renewed and balanced.

After your treatment, rinse off in an outdoor shower surrounded by jungle foliage, and then relax together in a private Jacuzzi tub.

    • Day 5: Arenal - Rappel sheer cliff faces deep in the jungle

Today, venture into the rainforest to discover a place where very few have had the privilege to roam. First, hike a greenery-shrouded trail to a quiet canyon deep in the forest. Then, you’ll don a harness and begin a heart-pumping adventure, rappelling enormous waterfalls, jumping into crystalline pools, descending guided rappels, canyon calls, and river boulders. This exciting canyoning experience is not for the faint of heart!

    • Day 6: Arenal - Zip line thrills & natural hot springs

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast before taking an adrenaline-stoking ride through the rainforest canopy on a thrilling zip line circuit. Seven lines of varying speeds, lengths, and heights wind through the jungle, stretching across canyons and in between treetrops, featuring spectacular panoramic views of the rainforest, lake, and volcano. Don’t forget your camera!

In the afternoon, head to Tabacón Hot Springs for dinner and a relaxing evening soak. Explore dozens of warm pools of varying sizes, temperatures, and degrees of privacy, and let the sounds of the cascading waterfalls lull you into a state of deep relaxation.

    • Day 7: Arenal to Uvita - Astonishing views of the Whale Tail coastline

This morning, embark on a scenic ride along the seductive, snaking coast to Uvita de Osa, featuring a sweeping panorama of majestic mountains on one side, and calm, blue ocean on the other. Check in to your deliciously luxurious home base for the next three nights at Kurà Design Villas, and spend the afternoon relaxing on your balcony, or lounging by the saltwater infinity pool, soaking in the jaw-dropping ocean views with a cold cocktail in hand.

    • Day 8: Uvita - A modern-day Eden & undersea treasures of Caño Island

This morning after breakfast, you’ll set out for Caño Island Biological Reserve, a paradise of crystal clear waters, and coral and rock formations teeming with schools of vibrantly-colored tropical fish. The island, located near the Osa Peninsula, is one of the best destinations in Costa Rica for snorkeling and scuba diving, with turquoise-colored waters home to the country’s largest concentration of coral-building organisms, sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, manta rays, moray eels, parrot fish, puffer fish, and many more tropical beauties. The forever-changing undersea landscape is sure to make an impression on you that you won’t soon forget.

After exploring Caño Island, you’re off to Violines Island, a small, uninhabited island covered in lush vegetation. Spend a couple of hours relaxing on the beach, hiking the island, or swimming in the waters of the protected bay on the island’s north side before catching your boat back to Uvita.

    • Day 9: Uvita - Time to relax; a private candlelit dinner

Spend the day relaxing and taking advantage of Kura's ample amenities, or hop on the complimentary shuttle down to the beach for some fun in the sun. For dinner on your last night in Costa Rica, dine poolside by candlelight with views over Uvita and watch as the sun dips below the horizon and the stars come out above you.

    • Day 10: Uvita to San José - Departure

We’ve made arrangements for a private car to take you to the Quepos airport for a quick puddle-jumper flight back to San José’s international airport. Safe travels!
