    • Day 1: San José - Arrival

When you touch down, you’ll be met by your driver and taken to the charming, family-owned Apartotel La Sabana. Explore the bustling metropolis of San José on foot, visit some of the city's museums and galleries - the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum is a common favorite - or lounge by the pool and unwind after a long travel day.

    • Day 2: San José to La Fortuna - Lush jungle & volcanic vistas

After a hearty breakfast, your tropical adventure begins with a ride through the scenic highlands north of San José to La Fortuna. This small town, nestled in the shadow of the majestic Arenal Volcano, was once a sleepy agricultural town, but is now the country's adventure hub, where visitors from around the globe come to zip line, rappel, hike, and marvel at the silhouette of Arenal in the distance. Check into the beautiful and serene Lomas del Volcan hotel, and spend the afternoon acquainting yourself with one of Costa Rica’s most awe-inspiring landscapes.

    • Day 3: La Fortuna - Exotic wildlife, hanging bridges & zip line thrills

Spend the day today chasing a bird’s eye view! The day begins with a visit to Arenal’s Hanging Bridges – one of the most lushly forested areas in the region. Hike trails that wind along the rainforest floor, and walk along bridges at treetop height, all the while immersed in a sea of deep green and accompanied by a symphony of cicadas, tropical birds and monkeys. As you walk, your expert naturalist guide will keep an eye out for wildlife – including toucans, sloths and monkeys – and teach you about the plants, flowers and animals you encounter.

After your jungle immersion, head into town to enjoy a local lunch, then set off for an adrenaline-inducing zip line adventure through the Costa Rican forest canopy. Whizz along cables slung between canyons on seven lines of varying speeds, lengths, and heights, all while you admire breathtaking panoramic views of the forest, lake and volcano.

    • Day 4: La Fortuna - Rainforest relaxation at a natural volcanic hot springs

After a leisurely morning, experience the ultimate in relaxation with a couples’ massage at the upscale Tabacón Spa. Your treatment takes place in an open-air palm thatched bungalow, designed to allow fresh air and the scents of the rainforest to become an essential part of each treatment. After your massage, rinse off in an open-air rainforest shower to complete the experience.

Then, spend your evening soaking your loosened up muscles in Tabacón’s beautiful natural hot springs, the largest network of naturally flowing thermal waters in Costa Rica, surrounded by an expansive private rainforest reserve. Enjoy a gourmet dinner at the hot springs before you return to your hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

    • Day 5: La Fortuna to Santa Teresa - Retreat to the beach

After breakfast, trade the jungle for the coast, embarking on a scenic ride through the highlands and then along through tropical dry forest on the Nicoya Peninsula to the beautiful, quiet beachside town of Santa Teresa – arguably, one of the most romantic locations in Costa Rica. As you ride, revel in the sweeping panorama of majestic mountains on one side, and calm, blue ocean on the other. Check in to your deliciously luxurious home base for the next five nights at Casa Chameleon, and spend the afternoon relaxing in your private ocean-view plunge pool, soaking in the jaw-dropping ocean views with a cold cocktail in hand.

    • Day 6: Santa Teresa - Panoramic ocean views from your private plunge pool

Spend your days at Casa Chameleon relaxing and making the most of the hotel’s ample amenities and beautiful location – swing in a hammock, take your ATV to explore nearby Cabo Blanco national park, Montezuma, discover 15 kilometers of beaches and coastline, or pay a visit to the spa for some serious R&R.

    • Day 7: Santa Teresa - A parting glimpse & romantic candlelit dinner

After a day at leisure, for dinner on your last night in Costa Rica, dine by candlelight at a private ocean-view table, and enjoy one last romantic meal together beneath an expansive, starry sky.

    • Day 8: Santa Teresa to San José - Departure

Say goodbye to paradise! Take a transfer to the airport at Tambor for an hour-long flight back to San José’s international airport, and begin your journey home.
