    • Day 1: San José - Arrival

When you touch down, you’ll be met by your driver and taken to the charming, family-owned Apartotel La Sabana. Explore the bustling metropolis of San José on foot, or lounge by the pool and unwind before the excitement begins tomorrow.

    • Day 2: San José to Arenal - Wild white waters of the Río Pacuare

Begin your tropical adventure in the lush lowland jungles on Costa Rica’s Caribbean side. You’ll spend the day on the Pacuare River, rafting along 19 miles of thrilling Class III-IV whitewater, as you marvel at the stunning scenic surrounds – cascading waterfalls, exotic wildlife, and lush rainforest that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Then, embark on a ride through the scenic countryside to the quiet town of La Fortuna, nestled in the shadow of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Check into your beautiful home base for the next three nights, El Silencio del Campo, and turn in early to prepare for an action-packed day tomorrow.

    • Day 3: Arenal - Waterfall rappelling in the heart of the rainforest

Today, venture into the rainforest to discover a place where very few have had the privilege to roam. First, hike a greenery-shrouded trail to a quiet canyon deep in the forest. Then, you’ll don a harness and begin a heart-pumping adventure, rappelling enormous waterfalls, jumping into crystalline pools, descending guided rappels, canyon calls, and river boulders. This exciting canyoning experience is not for the faint of heart!

    • Day 4: Arenal - Zip lines & natural hot springs

Start your day with a bird's eye view and a pounding heart, on a zip line adventure through the Costa Rican forest canopy. Whizz along cables slung between canyons on seven lines of varying speeds, lengths, and heights, all while you admire breathtaking panoramic views of the forest, lake and volcano. It’s an adrenaline rush like no other!

In the afternoon, head to Tabacón Hot Springs for dinner and a relaxing evening soak. Explore dozens of warm pools of varying sizes, temperatures, and degrees of privacy, and let the sounds of the cascading waterfalls lull you into a state of deep relaxation.

    • Day 5: Arenal to Dominical - Trade jungle for beach

The beach beckons! Head south along the beautiful Costanera Sur highway, which winds along the beautiful Central Pacific coast, through palm plantations and thick swaths of rainforest. Arrive in Dominical, a funky little surf town, and check into Cuna del Angel Hotel, a charming hideaway where the laid-back vibe and tropical surrounds will have you finding your chill immediately.

    • Day 6: Dominical - Unspoiled beaches & hidden waterfalls by ATV

Hop onto an ATV today for a memorable all-day adventure along the jungles & beaches surrounding Dominical. Zip along the beach, ford the Baru River, and venture into the mountains to the tranquil San Juan de Dios valley where you’ll park your ATV, and hike down a jungle trail to the base of a 200-foot cascade, where you can beat the tropical heat in the refreshing pools at the foot of the falls.

    • Day 7: Dominical - Vibrant coral reefs at Isla del Caño

This morning after breakfast, you’ll set out for Caño Island Biological Reserve, a paradise of crystal clear waters, and coral and rock formations teeming with schools of vibrantly-colored tropical fish. The island, located near the Osa Peninsula, is one of the best destinations in Costa Rica for snorkeling and scuba diving, with turquoise-colored waters home to the country’s largest concentration of coral-building organisms, sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, manta rays, moray eels, parrot fish, puffer fish, and many more tropical beauties. The forever-changing undersea landscape is sure to make an impression on you that you won’t soon forget.

After exploring Caño Island, you’re off to Violines Island, a small, uninhabited island covered in lush vegetation. Spend a couple of hours relaxing on the beach, hiking the island, or swimming in the waters of the protected bay on the island’s north side before catching your boat back to Dominical.

    • Day 8: Dominical - Beachfront R&R

Your last full day in Dominical is yours to spend how you wish. Rent a surfboard and take a ride on the area’s epic surf breaks, hike to the awe-inspiring Nauyaca Falls, or revel in some well-deserved R&R by the pool, cocktail-in-hand. This is the perfect place to do anything, or nothing at all.

    • Day 9: Dominical to San José - A parting glimpse

After breakfast and a final walk along the beach, bid Cuna del Angel adios, and take a ground transfer back to San José to spend the night.
