    • Day 1: San José - Arrival

Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! After you arrive to San José’s Juan Santamaría International Airport, your driver will take you to an oasis in the heart of the city – the elegant Grano de Oro Hotel. Take to the city on foot and discover historic architecture, tree-lined boulevards and the delightfully chaotic street-life of Costa Rica’s capital, or catch some R&R and kick back in the rooftop Jacuzzi, and prepare for an action-packed day tomorrow.

    • Day 2: San José to Santa Teresa - Pristine beaches beneath a thick forest canopy

Today, fly above the scenic central highlands, and then tropical dry forest on the Nicoya Peninsula to the beautiful, quiet beachside town of Santa Teresa – arguably, one of the most romantic locations in Costa Rica. Check into your luxurious Balinese-style casita at Latitude 10 Resort, and spend the afternoon enjoying your private beachfront veranda as the sound of the waves and tropical breezes lull you into a deep state of relaxation.

    • Day 3: Santa Teresa - Offshore exploration & a catamaran toast

It’s time to set sail! Spend the day on a catamaran cruise, as your captain takes you on a route past protected, uninhabited islands in the Gulf of Nicoya to the beautiful white sand beach on Tortuga Island. Explore the undersea world of the island’s offshore volcanic reef, home to angelfish, morays, spotted eagle rays, and a swath of brightly-colored tropical beauties.

Afterwards, enjoy a casually elegant gourmet lunch accompanied by live music before sailing back along the coast while keeping a watchful eye out for dolphins, manta rays, sea turtles, humpbacks, and pilot whales.

    • Day 4: Santa Teresa - Picturesque beaches & gentle tropical breezes

Spend your day relaxing and making the most of Latitude 10’s ample amenities and beautiful beachfront location – swing in a hammock, enjoy the sounds of the ocean from your lanai, wander down the beach, or pay a visit to the spa for some serious R&R.

If you're craving a bit of civilization, walk down the beach to the town of Santa Teresa to find some live music and a comfy chair where you can sip a tasty tropical drink or an ice-cold beer while you watch the sun dip below the horizon.

    • Day 5: Santa Teresa - Sunset horseback riding to spectacular jungle vistas

After a relaxing morning, spend the afternoon on horseback, riding down jungle trails to hidden gems, and panoramic vistas, all while you spot howler and white faced monkeys, agoutis, and a vastly diverse array of brightly-colored tropical birds. As the sun begins to near the horizon, you’ll ride into a quiet beach cove to watch a spectacular ocean sunset before you head back to the lodge.

    • Day 6: Santa Teresa to Manuel Antonio - Where rainforest meets sea

After breakfast, embark on a scenic ride along the seductive, snaking coast to Manuel Antonio. As you ride, revel in the sweeping panorama of majestic mountains on one side, and calm, blue ocean on the other. Check in to your deliciously luxurious home base for the next three nights at Arenas del Mar, and spend the afternoon relaxing on your balcony, or lounging by one of two saltwater infinity pools, soaking in the jaw-dropping ocean views with a cold cocktail in hand.

    • Day 7: Manuel Antonio - Hike jungle trails to picturesque beaches

This morning, set out to enjoy the charms of Manuel Antonio National Park – striking white-sand beaches, clear tranquil waters and abundant wildlife. Though the highlights of the park – one of Costa Rica’s smallest – are two postcard-worthy white sand beaches, called Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio, the park also protects coastal rain forest, a mangrove swamp, coral formations and 12 islands that serve as seabird sanctuaries. You will learn about the park's distinctive plant life, and guided by an experienced naturalist, locate camouflaged fauna as you hike through the forest, home to 109 mammal species – including three species of monkey, agoutis, sloths and deer – and 200 species of bird, including toucans, hawks, and hummingbirds.

After you’ve finished your hike, settle in and find your spot on one of the protected coves within the beach, where you can while the rest of the day, splashing in the calm turquoise waters and lounging in beachy bliss.

    • Day 8: Manuel Antonio - Unwind at the spa; private candlelit dinner on the beach

Experience the ultimate in relaxation with a couples' massage to melt away stress and rejuvenate tired muscles. After a day spent relaxing and making the most of Arenas del Mar’s ample amenities, enjoy your last spectacular Pacific sunset from El Mirador Restaurant, where you'll dine at a romantic, candlelit table for two as the stars come out. Indulge in exotic flavors, tropical smoothies and warm breezes to wrap up a truly memorable vacation.

    • Day 9: Manuel Antonio to San José - Departure

Bid the tropics farewell! Take a quick 30-minute flight from Quepos/Manuel Antonio back to San José’s international airport, arriving at least 3 hours prior to your international departure.
